The Cerebral Palsy Association of North Country in New York is beginning to look for sponsors for its annual Polar Bear Golf Classic fund-raising event supporting outdoor recreational activities for people with disabilities.
The Golf tournament is a popular event which will take place on February 14th 2013. It is part of the larger Canton Winterfest 2013 and will also include other fun outdoor activities including raffles, a trivia contest, hot drinks and food all day long. The Golf classic itself is nine holes on a snow-covered green held at the St. Lawrence University Golf & Country Club and the Best Western University Inn.
Cerebral Palsy of North Country is hoping to raise between $12,000 and $15,000 to insure that in the coming year there is enough funding to support a full and varied outdoor activities program for its clients with developmental challenges. CP of North Country is spreading out its influence and encouraging local businesses in the three surrounding counties, including Jefferson, St. Lawrence,
and Franklin, to help improve the chances of getting adequate funding.
